A place to call home.
Location, location, location
It has taken us a while to find our new home but we couldn’t be happier with where we’ve chosen - the Tapestry building, a newly converted warehouse in the heart of the fabric district. Everyone that comes to the Tapestry comments on how amazing the building is, and how the renovation has captured the history of the building.
Don’t take our word for it, the building won @prolificnorth Inspired spaces 2018 award in November. We couldn’t be prouder to be part of the story!
Located in New Islington on Kempston St, just off London Rd, the lab is central Liverpool. It’s only a few minutes walk from Lime Street station, perfect for those coming from out of town. It is well connected by public transport and there is parking available outside. The fabric district is going through significant transformation and regeneration and its aims to rival the Baltic triangle in years to come as Liverpool’s creative hub.
Our neighbours & friends
The lab is located in DoES Liverpool an award-winning co-working, education and event space. DoES are a community of creators and makers who work with technology like IOT and smart cities. These are the people that are creating the tech of tomorrow.
DoES hosts a weekly maker night every Thursday and maker day on the second Saturday of every month. These events provide a space for people to learn, experiment and work on projects related to physical computing, laser cutting, Arduino, electronics, 3D printing. They’re informal, friendly events where people help, share and support each other. Everyone is welcome, so if you haven’t already, check it out!
By being based in DoES we hope to foster closer collaboration and sharing between the maker and UX communities.
